Aikido: Iriminage - Compare and contrast WITH shoto and WITHOUT shoto for new insights

Do you ever use short sword, or shoto, for new inspiration and insights in your Aikido? Do you want to know how it can help your empty hand technique?

In today’s video, I’m going to share a couple clips from a seminar I did back in 2018 in Los Angeles. In these clips, I compare and contrast Ikkyo WITH shoto and WITHOUT. We had a good number of beginner and intermediate students at the seminar, so the movement isn’t quite as dynamic or explosive as some of my other videos.

But this pace is excellent for studying along with the video.
